Top chefs, exquisite ingredients and exceptional creations
Each month Executive Chef Martin Klein invites international top chefs to the Restaurant Ikarus in Salzburg`s Hangar-7. The guest chefs create elaborate menus, which portray their best creations and signature dishes and are served at the Restaurant Ikarus for a month. The new edition of Ikarus invites the wolrd`s best chefs gives an insight to the spectacular restaurant kitchens of the top chefs.
This year the guest chefs came for instance from Spain, France, Switzerland, Finland, South Korea and the US. Within their menus, they present the variety of fine dining – from traditional delicacies to fancy molecular gastronomy. To cook the guest chefs` menus to perfection, Martin Klein visits them at their own professional workplaces. Thus, he gets to know the chefs, their way of cooking and their motivation and sources of inspiration.
The fifth edition of Ikarus invites the wolrd`s best chefs contains both recipes and personal commentaries on the guest chefs. Extraordinaryphotos capture the »State of the Art« of the international high-end gastronomy and encourages cooking by following the step-by-step recipes.
